Harshell Family Farm Enterprises is a picturesque farming operation in the Ottawa Valley, on the banks of the Mississippi River just outside of Almonte.  We have been proudly producing food for Canadian families since 1985 and take great pride in the quality of what we produce.  For several years we were dairy producers who won many awards for our quality milk.  More recently, we are cash croppers who continue to strive for excellence in production.

We are a husband and wife team who are passionate about our life in agricultural.  We have raised four children who, in adulthood have chosen a variety of career paths, none of them in farming.   Although none are active in the “family farm” today, they all carry with them a pride in what the family farm meant to them growing up.  They are proud to have that connection to agricultural and that understanding of what it means to produce high quality food for consumption by society.  They realize that they are amongst a small percentage of people who actually go to “the farm” because they are “connected”.  They are very lucky!
